Prior to founding Haines, Janson & Associates, Chris held safety management positions with several Fortune 500 companies, including Wyeth, National Steel and Sigma-Aldrich. He has also worked with numerous firms as a consultant for the insurance industry. Among his duties, Chris has developed, implemented and managed safety programs at start up facilities, as well as across multiple facilities nationwide. He has audited extensively, recommending and designing improvements to many safety and risk management systems. Chris has also had oversight for construction safety from the design stage to close out on numerous projects. These projects have ranged from new construction on green field sites to highly complex demolition, renovation and refit operations at active manufacturing facilities. Chris is a certified OSHA outreach trainer and has trained hundreds of managers and employees.
Chris is a professional member of the American Society of Safety Engineers and the American Industrial Hygiene Association. He is a member of the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) F13 committee on Pedestrian/Walkway Safety and Footwear. Chris also serves as member of the board of directors for the St. Louis Safety Council, a chapter of the National Safety Council.
